Carnival Birthday Theme
Lollipops and popcorn with flowers |
I had the privilege of meeting with a very talented photographer, Carlos, who captured the details of the event effortlessly and needed no editing or touching up (to my naked eye and humble opinion). Beautiful contrasting and he managed to capture the essence of the party; which was essentially of Pink, Blue and Yellow.
Floral decor by Theme of Que Rafael who created beautiful arrangement and yet not too formal to add the fun element into the the decor. Since we were in the Carnival circus-y theme but without the animals (of course), coloured paper flowers were created weeks before hand to ensure that we have enough to add to the transparent canopy and the brilliant idea of my right-hand-man, Ajak, to hang the Cotton Candy around the canopy sealed the look completely.
Although I was a bit skeptical about the menu of Burgers, Hotdogs, Potato Apple Salad and Corn on the Cob, I was reassured when some of the guests (particularly the boys) were ecstatic when they could create a double or triple decker burger of their own! Since they are young adults of 19 years of age, who would want heavy and not "fun" food like pasta or the usual pizza.
Dessert Bar was a sell-out! There were no left overs apart from a mere piece or two of Jelly Beans and M & M chocolates, but the rest were part of the party pack which was supplied the birthday girl for her friends to pack their own mixture of candies and chocolates. Chocolate Fountain was accompanied with fresh strawberries and bananas and the ever compulsory, Marshmellows.

With the concept of Moroccan Marakesh, Theme of Que Rafael once again nailed it with their simple and yet captivating style of decor. The client requested NOT to use too much flowers as she prefers not to have wastage. It proves a point of less is more for this wedding decor.
