Better late than no update!

Yes, guilty of being too preoccupied last year and not updating the blog. Actually, I was hoping that the new website would help but unfortunately I was not too happy with the outcome. Save the drama and lets move on with what has been happening.

If you are still wondering who is a wedding planner and what the job scope entails, please read here. We were at the Pameran Pengantin Malaysia recently held at SACC Shah Alam and the word Wedding Planner seem to be misunderstood still as a wedding decorator / caterer etc. Some were amazed and find it odd that a planner (like PDP) does not have a boutique or pelamin to showcase. What they do not understand is that MOST of the weddings PDP planned and coordinated, the pelamin or decor in its entirety was the idea and designed by PDP, entrusted to the decorator to carry out the vision that PDP has translated from the client's wants and likes.

Enough chitty chatty, lets look at what we have been up to from May 2014 till March of 2015.

We also created a different kind of guest book or photo booth... not so much of a photo booth. We called it Guest Interaction Book where the guest pinned suggested destination for the bride and groom who loves travelling.

Decor Style and Theme

I sometimes find myself having to determine the style and theme for my clients because either they are not sure what they like or they simply have too many that they like! Besides the usual Romantic, Modern and Traditional theme, there are now the Modern Vintage, Retro and Urban Chic to name a few. What's hot for 2012 - Old is the new New (confusing, ain't it?).

This year, Modern Vintage is the most requested style or theme by far.

Pardon me?

Please pardon me on the lack of post as I have just been asked to assist a client whose daughter is about to get engaged this coming Sunday. However, it is rather last minute (I was contacted only on the 18th of April) and usually I do not 2 events in the same week. This is 2 events back to back. Hence, my intentions of posting colour boards on to my blog has not been achieved.

It was tried and tested last year, when I had to coordinate 2 wedding receptions in a day, which was quite detrimental to my sanity! This week will be another trying weekend for me but thank God for the 3 day weekend - but then again... it doesn't apply to me =(

So please look out for our next posting of

1) 70th Birthday celebration at Hilton Sentral (Event Date - Saturday, 1st May)

2) Engagement in Damansara Idaman (Event Date -Sunday, 2nd May) - this will be my first non-malay event and I'm rather curious! But then again, 'curiosity killed the cat'!

Have a great weekend everyone!
